Simian Ghost Gets Loads Of Love From England!

Simian Ghost from Gävle, signed to Playground Music Scandinavia and Playground Music Publishing early 2011. Shortly after the band were licensed to Heist Or Hit Records in the UK and released the EP “Lovelorn” and re-released their first album “Infinite Traffic Everywhere”. The English press is now showing them loads of love. Check out a couple of quotes…

“‘Lovelorn’ is a remarkable EP – combining dreamy sweet vocals with a catchy pop element, much like Two Door Cinema Club have done (the result being phenomenal success).” Popped Culture

“Lovelorn is a dazzling release that seduces the listener with it’s blissed out instrumentation and Sebastian’s dreamy vocals”Rhythm And Booze

“A little M83 in places and a little Active Child in others, but as a rule of thumb, Simian Ghost crafts a sound all of his/their own.”Heineken New Music

“You simply can’t argue with ‘Free Agent’s’ hook.”Music Fan’s Mic

“Think M83, Toro y Moi and Pet Shop Boys in a big bubble bath, surrounded by a crackling, electronic force field. Then stop imagining such a raunchy sci-fi situation and listen to Simian Ghost…”Middleboop

“Check out the first single from the album, ‘Free Agent’, a sweltering slice of surprisingly funky chillwave.”Club Howl

“A well produced new EP, ‘Lovelorn’ matches strong songwriting to some impressive sonics.”Clash – Track Of Day

…and we get this chilly, amazingly both sparse and tight song called “Free Agent” to lead off.”The Culture Of Me

“A little M83 in places and a little Active Child in others, but as a rule of thumb, Simian Ghost crafts a sound all of his/their own.”God Is In The TV Zine

“I have heard them compared to early Hot Chip and I wouldn’t argue with that but they are a bit more atmospheric and bit more downtempo.” – Music Snob Militia
