HURRICANE LOVE - EP
Hurricane Love recently released their debut EP on the back of the singles "Free Ticket" and "Nowhere To Go". The latter soon over 1 million streams at Spotify, reaching third place on the Swedish iTunes sales list, tenth place on The Swedish Download chart, Top 3 on the compiled Swedish college-radio chart and starting to build on German radio.
The new EP shows that this band is a brightly shining star in the Swedish pop sky.
The five tracks shift quickly from soft to hard, calmly energetic, and stylish to grandiose and tell stories of euphoric adventure, tattered relationships and ardent love.
Hurricane Love have performed over 100 official gigs in Scandinavia, England and Germany, opened for Movitz!, Matt Corby and The Royal Concept, played at some of the major festivals in Europe, been hailed by the prestigious Billboard and won the Emergenza - the world's biggest live music competition for unsigned bands.
With diverse influences from acts like Coldplay, Of Monsters And Men, Sigur Rós, Muse, Mumford & Sons and the Foo Fighters, the band has found their own sound. "The name of Hurricane Love represents us as a band - Hurricane: a great energy surrounding you that will lift you off the ground and Love: a positive energy that makes you feel good inside."
The band had huge success at this year's where's The Music Festival where they were called the "world's best band" of the blog drefvet.se.
During summer of 2015 they embark on tour and only just recently had an acclaimed performance at this year's Tallinn Music Week in late March.
Coming up is the release of an acoustic 6 track EP with videos late this summer, a bigger Scandinavian tour in the fall of 2015 and an album winter 2015-2016.
