The Rasmus is Finlands biggest rock band. They have released seven albums since the start in 1993.  Black Roses, the latest album, was released in October 2008. Co-written and produced by Desmond Child, one of the world’s most successful songwriters and producers. He has written smash hits for Kiss, Ricky Martin, Alice Cooper, Meatloaf, Bon Jovi, Scorpions and many others. The album was recorded in Helsinki, Nashville, Stockholm and Singapore and is mixed by Michael Wagener (producer of Metallica, Ozzy), Niklas Flyckt (who mixed Britney Spears “Toxic”) and Michael Ilbert (producer of Roxette, The Hives). The singles “Livin’ In A World Without You” and “Justify” were both big radio hits. The album sold 140.000 CD world wide.

Hide From The Sun (2005), was released in more than 50 countries and it has sold more than 400.000 copies so far. The previous album, Dead Letters (2003), was their big breakthrough record. It sold over 1,5 million copies world-wide, went Top 10 in 10 countries, including Finland and UK, and #1 in Germany, Austria and Finland.

Dead Letters received Double Platinum in Finland, 5 Platinum awards including Germany and 8 Gold Awards including Sweden and the UK (Double Gold).

In The Shadows, the massive hit single, went Gold in 6 countries including Sweden, Germany, France and New Zealand. Platinum in Finland and Belgium and Top 10 in the sales charts in 11 countries. It was #1 Most Played on MTV Europe, #1 Most Played on Kerrang TV (UK). The single sold more than 1 million copies world wide. It has been featured in numerous compilation albums, TV series and TV spots.
