Tobias Fröberg’s fourth studio album, The Big Up. ”It’s very simple,” claims Tobias. “It’s a love record dedicated to the woman whom became my wife. Meanwhile it’s the darkest record I’ve created. Because there is anytime you should be aware of your life, it’s when you got it all.”

The album is recorded in Stockholm, in Tobias own two studios. Tobias has writted all the songs himself besides “I Wanna Hurt Like That”, which is the result of a co-operation with ex Deacon Blue star Ricky Ross. “I haven’t really had the motivation to write something myself. It was first after I bought a big, heavy Hammondorgan in Chicago that things started to happend,” says Tobias Fröberg. “Suddenly i knew how a new record should sound. Also what the record should be about became clear to me – my beloved wife Sandra. We met 2007, got engaged when i worked as a producer in New Orleans, january 2008, and married september the same year. It ought to be my brightest album, but it’s the opposite: the darkest. And best. I’ve never done an album this good, I never understood how. Regardless of the response “The Big Up” will get am I unbelievably happy. It’s my most beautiful artwork yet, and that’s how I look at it. Everything holds together; the songs, the sound and the composition. It sounds dark and empty. At least that’s what i feel.” The album The Big Up is followed by a Swedish tour. Tobias will perform with two drummers and an extra musician.
