Their first YouTube post, a cover version of Robyn’s “Call Your Girlfriend” played with cottage cheese containers, caught fire and threw Erato into the music business overnight. The clip is viewed almost 5 million times, and was featured on Jay Leno’s “The Tonight Show”. This lead them to be invited to sing on seven tracks on American indie band Passion Pit’s album “Gossamer”, they were noticed by Perez Hilton and well written about in the British Guardian.
Erato do acoustic cover versions of well know pop hits, with three (or more) piece harmonies. Donkeyboy’s “Ambitions”, Britney Spears “Till The World Ends” and Passions Pit’s “It’s Not My Fault I’m Happy” are among their most popular tracks. But Erato also write their own material, and their debut album was released in 2014. During 2015, the trio Erato became a duo, and in October they released their version of Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Boxer”.
