Hurricane Love (SWE)
Hurricane Love - the band that is perhaps Swedish music’s best-kept secret, have now signed an exclusive agreement with Playground Music. For several years the band has worked hard together with a relentless schedule of song writing and touring, that has built up a large and loyal base of listeners. They have performed over 100 gigs, toured in Sweden, Denmark, Finland, England and Germany, opened for The Movitz! and The Royal Concept, played at some of the major festivals, wowing the audience at established clubs like Debaser, KB, Babel, Fasching, Sticky Fingers and dairy. Last year they won the Emergenza - the world's biggest live music competition for unsigned bands and were praised by Billboard.
With diverse influences from acts like Coldplay, Of Monsters And Men, Sigur Rós, Muse, Mumford & Sons and the Foo Fighters, the band has found their own sound. "The name of Hurricane Love represents us as a band - Hurricane: a great energy surrounding you that will lift you off the ground and Love: a positive energy that makes you feel good inside."
Described by some as Sweden’s Of Monsters and Men, Hurricane Love prove to be a real gem with their extraordinary single and a music video for ‘Nowhere To Go‘.
Their sound, taken straight out of Tumblr or the very hipster part of YouTube and as cool as Mumford & Sons folk melodies, is mesmerising enough to stay in your head for a long time, making you remember their vibe for days.
